BGR-1 Family,
We have some exciting news to share regarding the performance of our students from both elementary schools.
The Policy Research in Missouri Education (PRiME) Center recently recognized Bowling Green Elementary and Frankford Elementary schools for achieving a Top 10 PRiME Growth Score in the Northeast Region. Our schools are featured in the PRiME Center’s recent publication, the Missouri Regional Student Growth Report, for outstanding student growth. This report, their second publication on student growth in Missouri, highlights the top schools in each of the nine Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) supervisory regions that are moving student learning forward the fastest. This report uses the Missouri Growth Model data and expands the scale in a way that makes it easier to understand which schools are moving Missouri’s students forward. Out of the 95 schools in the region, BGE is ranked 3rd in English Language Arts, and Frankford Elementary 8th in Math!
The PRiME (Policy Research in Missouri Education) Center was established in 2019 as an independent research center housed in the Saint Louis University School of Education. PRiME’s mission is to provide better evidence on education issues that can support better policies and lead to better outcomes for students and schools in Missouri. The center specializes in generating, collecting, and disseminating education policy research in Missouri through blog posts, policy briefs, and education reports. Learn more about PRiME’s work at www.sluprime.org.
Additionally, Frankford Elementary recently was named in the top 89 of about 1100 elementary schools in our state by the U.S. News and World Report recently. This is very exciting for a school that has come so far in a short amount of time. https://www.usnews.com/educati...
